Katanning is a multicultural community consisting of over 50 language groups and is one of the largest regional towns in the Great Southern region. Katanning is home to the iconic All Ages Playground, the largest undercover Sheep Selling Complex in the Southern Hemisphere and forms part of the Public Silo Trail.
Katanning is centrally located in the ‘heart’ of the Great Southern agricultural region located 287 kilometres south-east of Perth, Western Australia on the Great Southern Highway and has a shire population of 4,200.
