The Apex Club of Katanning is a community service club where volunteers aged from 18-50ish get together and raise money for local community initiatives. We make doughnuts, fairy floss and sell cool drink for community events including the Katanning Harmony Festival and Katanning Show. The money raised has been used to support initiatives such as Woolworths vouchers issued by Katanning Police to reward good driving behaviour, Katanning Senior High School Breakfast Club and Country Week and support to local volunteer groups.
Through the Apex Foundation, we also have access to additional funding and have supported local schools through funding grants. This has been used to provide money for school excursions, books and camps for students from low socio-economic families. Local schools which have benefited from our support include Katanning Primary School, Dumbleyung Primary School and Kukerin Primary School.
